Buy and sell on an onchain order book.

MON, ETH, BTC and gold against USDC on Kuru's order book. Market orders fill now; limit orders wait for your price.

Kuru's books, live

Four coins, each priced in USDC, a digital dollar. Tap one to see what a market order and a limit order would do on its book.

Example amounts, from the live best bid and ask. Bid is the most a buyer pays right now; ask is the least a seller takes; the spread is the gap between them. The app shows the exact amount before you confirm.

How it works

Four steps from your wallet to a filled order.

  1. Add USDC and a little MON

Open the app and make a wallet with Face ID or a fingerprint. Add USDC to buy with, and a little MON: it pays the network fee.

  2. Open the Exchange and pick a coin

MON, ETH, BTC or gold, each against USDC. The coin's page shows the price, the best bid and ask, the spread and the live order book.

  3. Choose buy or sell, market or limit

A market order fills now at the best prices on the book. A limit order waits until the price reaches the one you set. The ticket shows what you get before you confirm.

  4. See it fill

Market orders settle onchain in seconds. A limit order stays in Open orders in your wallet until it fills, and you can cancel it there.

What it costs

What Kuru charges is read from its own market, and the ticket shows it before you confirm.

  • Market order

Kuru's taker fee, already counted in the amount you get and shown on the ticket before you confirm.

  • Limit order

Nothing while it waits on the book. If it fills right away because its price is already past the market, it pays the taker fee.

  • 0.5%

    Max slippage

A market order stops instead of filling if the price moves more than 0.5% before it settles.

  • MON

    Network fee

Every order is a transaction on Monad, so it costs a small fee paid in MON, not to MonFunded. Selling MON leaves 10 MON behind, which Monad keeps as an account reserve.

  • First limit order

The first limit order moves its amount from your wallet into your Kuru trading balance, where limit orders are paid from and pay out to.

Words you will see

Every term, once, in plain words.

Order book
The list of everyone's waiting offers: buyers on one side with the prices they will pay, sellers on the other with the prices they want. Kuru's is fully onchain.
Bid
The highest price a buyer on the book will pay right now.
Ask
The lowest price a seller on the book will accept right now.
Spread
The gap between the best bid and the best ask. A small spread means an easy market to trade in.
Market order
Buy or sell now, at the best prices on the book.
Limit order
Buy or sell only at your price or better. It waits on the book until the market comes to it, and may never fill.
Fill
When an order matches someone else's and the trade happens. A fill can be all of an order or part of it.
USDC
A digital dollar: 1 USDC is meant to stay worth $1. Every book here is priced in USDC.
Gold
On Kuru, gold is XAUT, a token made to follow the price of gold.

Risks, plainly

  • This is your own money. Prices move, and what you buy can be worth less when you sell it.

  • A limit order is not a promise: if the price never reaches yours, it never fills.

  • A thin book can move the price against you, most on large market orders. The ticket shows the amount you get before you confirm.

  • Onchain transactions cannot be undone. Check the coin, the side and the amount before you confirm.

  • Nothing on this page is financial advice.

Questions

What is the difference between the Exchange and Swap?

Swap is one tap at the current price. The Exchange shows the whole order book and adds limit orders, so you can name your price and wait for it.

Who runs the order book?

Kuru, an exchange that runs onchain on Monad. MonFunded's app sends your orders to it from your own wallet.

Whose money is it?

Yours. Your wallet signs each order. A limit order is paid from your Kuru trading balance, which you fund from your wallet when you place it.

What if the price moves while I confirm?

A market order stops instead of filling if the price moves more than 0.5% before it settles. You can try again at the new price.

How do I cancel a limit order?

Open your wallet: waiting limit orders are listed under Open orders, and each can be cancelled there.

Which coins can I trade?

MON, ETH, BTC and gold, each against USDC. These are the books Kuru has active trading on.

Can I try it without money?

The challenge is a simulated account, so no real money moves while you practise. Only its fee is real. See how it works.
