Change one coin into another in one tap.

Pick a coin, type an amount, see what you get. If the price moves more than 0.5% before it settles, the swap stops instead of filling.

What would I get?

Type an amount of USDC, a digital dollar, and pick a coin. This is a calculator at Kuru's live price: nothing is sent.

Need AUSD for perps? USDC becomes AUSD, a digital dollar, through Curve's stable pool, a pool built for coins that stay at $1.

Swap or Exchange?

Both trade on Kuru's order book. They differ in how much you see and control.

  • Swap

One tap at the current price. Pick a coin, type an amount, check what you get and confirm. Best when you just want the coin.

  • Exchange

The full order book, the best bid and ask, and limit orders that wait for your price. Best when you want to choose the price. See the Exchange

How it works

Four steps, and nothing is sent until you confirm.

  1. Add USDC and a little MON

Open the app and make a wallet with Face ID or a fingerprint. Add USDC to swap from, and a little MON: it pays the network fee.

  2. Open Swap and pick a coin

MON, ETH, BTC or gold. Swap prices them in USDC on Kuru's order book.

  3. Type an amount

The ticket shows the rate, the fee and the least you will get, before you confirm.

  4. Confirm

Your wallet signs and the swap settles onchain in seconds. If the price moved before it was sent, nothing was sent: the new price is shown and you can tap again.

What it costs

Swap is a market order on Kuru, so it costs what that order costs.

  • Kuru's fee

Already counted in the amount you get. The ticket shows Kuru's fee before you confirm.

  • 0.5%

    Price protection

A swap stops instead of filling if the price moves more than 0.5% before it settles. The ticket shows the least you will get.

  • MON

    Network fee

The swap is a transaction on Monad, so it costs a small fee paid in MON, not to MonFunded.

  • 0.005%

    Getting AUSD

Through Curve's stable pool: a 0.005% pool fee, included in the rate, and at most 0.1% slippage. From MON it takes two transactions: MON becomes USDC on Kuru, then USDC becomes AUSD in Curve.

Words you will see

Every term, once, in plain words.

Swap
Change one coin into another.
Rate
How much of one coin one unit of the other costs, such as 1 ETH = a number of USDC.
Slippage
How far the price can move between the moment you tap and the moment the swap settles. The app caps it at 0.5% for coins and 0.1% for AUSD, and the swap stops instead of filling if the price goes past that.
Stablecoin
A coin built to stay worth $1, so its price does not swing like ETH or BTC.
USDC and AUSD
Two stablecoins. Kuru's books here are priced in USDC. Perps on Perpl use AUSD as collateral, and payouts can arrive in it. Swapping USDC to AUSD is one step.
Gold
On Kuru, gold is XAUT, a token made to follow the price of gold.
Onchain
Recorded on the Monad blockchain, where anyone can check it and nobody can undo it.

Risks, plainly

  • This is your own money. Prices move, and what you buy can be worth less when you swap back.

  • Onchain transactions cannot be undone. Check the coin and the amount before you confirm.

  • The amount you see is a quote. The ticket shows the least you will get, and a swap that would give less is not sent.

  • Nothing on this page is financial advice.

Questions

What is the difference between Swap and the Exchange?

Swap is one tap at the current price. The Exchange shows the whole order book and adds limit orders, so you can name your price and wait for it.

Which coins can I swap?

MON, ETH, BTC and gold, against USDC, and USDC into AUSD through Curve. These are the books Kuru has active trading on.

What if the price moves before it is sent?

Nothing is sent. The app shows the new price and the least you now get, and you tap again if you still want it.

Why would I want AUSD?

Perps on Perpl use AUSD as collateral, and payouts can arrive in it. Get AUSD from USDC, or from MON in two steps.

What does a swap cost?

Kuru's fee, already counted in the amount you get, and a small network fee in MON. The ticket shows both before you confirm.

Is it my money?

Yes. Your wallet signs the swap, and the coins you get arrive in your own wallet.

Can I try it without money?

The challenge is a simulated account, so no real money moves while you practise. Only its fee is real. See how it works.
