Getting started

What is MonFunded?

A prop-trading firm on Monad. You pay a one-time fee for a trading assessment on a simulated account. Pass it and the account becomes funded: you withdraw 80% of the profit you make, in USDC or AUSD, paid onchain.

What is a prop firm?

A proprietary trading firm backs traders with its own money. Instead of risking your savings, you prove your skill on an assessment, then share the profit of a funded account. At MonFunded the account is simulated and payouts come from a public reserve on Monad.

What do I need to start?

A phone or a computer and a few minutes. Create your MonFunded wallet in the app with a passkey (Face ID, a fingerprint or your device PIN) or with email or Google, add USDC, AUSD or MON for the fee, and pick a plan.

Is the money in the account real?

No. Assessment and funded accounts are simulated: a virtual balance priced at live market prices. What is real is the fee you pay and the payouts you receive, both onchain on Monad.

Do I need trading experience?

It helps. The rules page explains every limit with examples, and the app explains each term the first time you meet it. If you are new, start with the smallest account: its fee is $30.

Plans and fees

How much does an assessment cost?

From $30 for a $5,000 Tight account to $2,000 for a $400,000 Medium account. It is a one-time fee for one assessment, with no monthly charge. Every size and fee is in the plans table.

Which coins can I pay with?

USDC, AUSD or MON, from your MonFunded wallet. A MON payment is swapped to USDC on Kuru inside the same transaction; if the price moves too far, the payment fails and nothing is charged.

Can I pay from MetaMask or another wallet?

Not directly. Challenges are bought from your MonFunded wallet, so your fee and your payouts use the same address. You can fund that wallet from MetaMask, Phantom or Backpack, or from another chain, in a minute.

Tight or Medium?

Tight has a 9% profit target, a 3% daily loss limit and a 3% max drawdown, for a lower fee. Medium has 10%, 4% and 7%, for a higher fee. Medium's wider drawdown gives you more room to recover from a bad day.

Can I get a refund?

No. Fees are non-refundable once the account is active, including after a breach. The refund policy covers the exceptions, such as a payment that went through without opening an account.

Rules and trading

What are the rules?

Reach the profit target without breaking the daily loss limit or the max drawdown. Leverage goes up to Perpl's own maximum on crypto (15× on BTC) and to 30× on forex (20× on metals and indices, 10× on energies and base metals), every position stays open for at least 60 seconds, and orders fill at the next price. There is no time limit. The rules page has worked examples.

When does the trading day reset?

At 00:00 UTC. The daily loss limit is measured from your equity at that moment, open positions included.

What can I trade?

Two liquidity sources, never mixed up. On Perpl: 8 crypto perpetuals, BTC, ETH, SOL, MON, HYPE, ZEC, LIT, and PUMP, priced from Perpl's order book on Monad; a perpetual follows a coin's price with no expiry, so you can go long or short. From MonFunded liquidity, the firm's own: 93 instruments (7 forex majors, 21 minors and 40 exotics, 10 metals, 3 energies and 12 stock indices), in the simulated challenge only. The app shows each market's source.

What is MonFunded liquidity?

The firm's own liquidity for forex and CFDs (metals, energies and stock indices): MonFunded takes the other side of your trades, priced by an institutional feed. Orders are sized in lots and fill at its bid or ask, the real spread with no markup, after a short delay on the server, with up to 30× leverage on forex and at most $5,000,000 per order and per instrument. It exists only in the simulated challenge: the Perps screen and the Live tier trade on Perpl.

Can I hold forex over the weekend? Are there swaps?

You can hold it, and there are no swaps or rollover fees. Forex trades from Sunday 17:00 to Friday 17:00 New York time, and metals, energies and indices in their own sessions, only while live prices arrive, so an instrument closes at weekends and on market holidays, and the app says when it reopens. If the price feed stops, MonFunded liquidity pauses until prices are live again. Open positions stay open and count at their last price; you can close them once the instrument reopens. The reopening's price counts as soon as it is live, so a market that opens away from where it closed can liquidate a position or end the account at that price.

Why don't orders fill at the price I see?

They fill at the next price published after your order reaches the server. That removes any edge from seeing a price a moment early, and keeps the challenge fair for everyone.

What happens if I break a rule?

The account ends: open positions close at the market price and the fee is not refunded. You can buy a new assessment whenever you like.

What counts as unfair play?

Copy trading between accounts, and shared accounts (one person behind several wallets, or several people behind one). A person reviews every case, and it ends the account with the fee kept.

Funded accounts and payouts

What happens when I pass?

The same account becomes funded. Its balance goes back to the starting size, the daily loss limit and the max drawdown stay, and the target and the clock go away.

How do withdrawals work?

Withdraw profit above the starting balance whenever you like, from $10, up to 20% of the account size a day ($5,000 at most). You receive 80% of it in USDC or AUSD, paid by the contract from its public reserve, usually within a minute.

How do I know payouts are real?

Every payout is a transaction on Monad, listed on the payouts page with a link to Monadscan. The reserve is the contract's own balance, which anyone can check.

What if a payout is late?

The server signs every withdrawal. If our payout hasn't arrived, you can claim it from the contract yourself with that signature, from the app.

What is the Live tier?

An invitation for top funded traders to trade a real Perpl account that MonFunded funds in AUSD. You trade it but can't withdraw from it, and our risk engine applies the same limits.

Wallet and security

Does MonFunded hold my coins?

No. Your MonFunded wallet is self-custody: its keys are made on your device from your passkey and never leave it. You can send your coins to any wallet at any time.

What is a passkey?

A sign-in that uses your device's Face ID, fingerprint or PIN instead of a password. The same passkey also makes your wallet, so there is no seed phrase to write down.

What if I lose my phone?

Passkeys sync through iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager, so your wallet comes back on your new device. You can also export a recovery phrase from the app and keep it somewhere safe.

How do I add money?

Send USDC, AUSD or MON on Monad to your address, deposit from another chain through the app (it arrives as USDC or AUSD), or connect MetaMask, Phantom or Backpack on the fund page.

Is it safe?

MonFunded is new software, built for a hackathon, and it has not been audited. Only pay fees you can afford to lose. The terms say the rest.
